St. John's Ministries
Everyone’s help is desired. Everyone’s help is needed. No matter how big or how small.

Lay Ministry, or Ministry of the People, is an important part of any Church Family. In most families, members have chores such as taking out the trash, doing the dishes, mowing the lawn, taking care of pets and cleaning your room. In our Church Family here at St. John's, we also have chores. Some of the visible, more obvious chores are serving on the altar, singing in the choir, and working with the Church School or Youth Programs. In addition, there are less obvious, behind the scene duties.  Ministry is at the heart of who we are as Christians, Episcopalians and members of St. John's Church. As it says in the Catechism:
"The ministry of lay persons is to represent Christ and his Church; to bear witness to him wherever they may be and, according to the gifts given them, to carry on Christ’s work of reconciliation in the world; and to take their place in the life, worship, and governance of the Church."

At St. John's we offer a multitude of ministry opportunities for people to take their place in the life, worship, and governance of the Church. Please explore all our Ministries or refer to the St John's Commitee Contact List to find out more.
